It could be a busy summer at Old Trafford, with United reportedly keen on four left-footed players, who would seriously bolster their squad, with Jose Mourinho falling behind current league leaders Manchester City.
The players in question are Danny Rose, Mesut Ozil, Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale. According to the 'Manchester Evening News', Mourinho has identified the areas in which he wants to strengthen and these are the names he wants to do so.
Tottenham left-back Danny Rose hinted at his desire to join United during an interview last summer, and the left side of defence is somewhat a problem position at Old Trafford. Although Ashley Young has put in some impressive performances at full-back so far this season, but Mourinho is targeting Rose as a natural left-back who can make the position his own.
Antoine Griezmann, meanwhile, is reportedly still keen on a move away from Atletico, with United being one of his favoured options, despite rejecting a move there last summer.
There have been widespread reports that Real Madrid will look to offload the injury-prone Gareth Bale in the summer, although he would prefer to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, and United are currently the favourites to secure his services from a number of Premier League teams.
Finally, Mesut Ozil's contract is up in the summer, meaning he would be available on a free-transfer at the end of the season, and having worked with him previously at Real Madrid, Mourinho is said to be a big fan of the 29-year-old playmaker.
The four left-footed targets are certainly ambitious, but Mourinho won't settle for anything less than the best. Do you think United will be able to pull any of those transfers off?
