Despite winning the Ligue 1 title by a comfortable margin on Sunday, with a 7-1 victory over last year's winners Monaco, PSG want more. It is well known that the chairman and owners of the club want to bring European success to the club, as evidenced by the expectations that manager Unai Emery will be let go at the end of the season, even though he has brought them success in the league.
Neymar was brought in last summer for that exact reason, although he has ended up missing the key period of the season. The next man on the French club's hit-list is Casemiro, as reported by Spanish outlet 'AS'.
With Thiago Motta on his way out of the club, and other midfielders such as Marco Veratti and Giovani Lo Celso not suitable to play in a defensive role, Real Madrid's holding midfielder Casemiro would be the ideal man to fill the gap.The Brazilian has impressed at Madrid, starting in 40 games this season for the Spanish side, and is now widely considered as one of the best players in the world in his position.
The Brazilian is only 26 years old, and has three years left on his contract, meaning it could be a difficult task to convince Real to sell him. He has a release clause, with €200m the figure required to force his club to let him go, although that being said it isn't certain that Casemiro would leave even if this lofty sum was met.
If he does make the move to Paris, he will have no trouble making friends. The French champions already have a large roster of Brazilian players, including Neymar, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Dani Alves.
