It's been a while since we heard from Neymar, hasn't it? The Brazilian star has been out of the headlines for a few weeks now, as he continues his recovery from surgery on his broken foot.
The latest news is that the PSG forward recently checked into the Mater Dei hospital in Belo Horizonte for a check-up on his foot, with a series of tests being carried out to see how his recovery is progressing.
According to 'Globosporte', the preliminary results show that Neymar's recuperation is meeting the expected schedule, meaning he is expected to be ready for action before the 21st of May, the day that Tite will confirm his Brazil squad for the Russia World Cup.
And, speaking on 'TV Globo' show 'Altas Horas', Neymar has revealed his positivity over the injury. When asked about how long before he would return, he replied: "About a month, a month and a bit."
"The injury is progressing well," he continued. "The fracture is consolidating fine, everything's going okay."
The Brazilian picked up the injury on February 25, in a game between Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, a game which PSG won 3-0.
After his operation at the beginning of March, doctors indicated that Neymar would be out for a maximum of three months, however, fifteen days ago PSG manager Unai Emery announced that the forward would return to Paris in "two or three weeks".
