The relationship between the pair made headline news once again at the weekend as Mourinho withdrew the former Southampton defender at half-time of the FA Cup win over Brighton.
Not content with substituting the player, Mourinho later told the press that Shaw was sacrificed instead of right-back Antonio Valencia because: "at least Antonio defensively was capable of good positioning."
To add further insult to injury he ended by saying: "Luke, in the first half, every time they came in his corridor, the cross came in and a dangerous situation was coming. I was not happy with his performance."
Now, Kaveh Solhekol, a reporter for 'Sky Sports' has tweeted citing a source close to Shaw who claims that the 22-year-old has been unfairly treated by the United boss.
"Mourinho's treatment of Luke is an absolute disgrace. If he has a problem with him the decent thing to do would be to keep it in-house," the tweet read.
"If this kind of abuse happened in any other workplace there'd be a case for constructive dismissal. It's disgusting"
