In football, you have to follow your dream where it may take you. For the American Pulisic that took him to Germany, after scouts from Borrussia Dortmund saw his talent when he was only a child.
Today, after two seasons packed with good performances in Dortmund, he is still only 19 years old and there are already people saying he could be one of the greats once Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi retire.
"Sport was always close to me. My parents - Mark and Kelly Pulisic - were players, but they never put any pressure on me. I always played with kids who were bigger than me so I had to think quicker and use my technique more to be at the same level," the youngster said.
He remembers that he came to Dortmund in 2015 because it was an oportunity that he "couldn't pass up."
"I was scared to come to Europe, to go to a foreign country, so I knew it wasn't going to be easy. To come here without knowing a single word of German was something else different and difficult," he continued.
The American, who has been capped 20 times by his national team, confessed that he now feels at home in Germany and he doesn't feel alone in his appartment like at first. "I am going to give everything I have, I hope that the team does it and we have a lot of success," he affirmed, putting aside the idea of moving to another European team for now.
The Europa League, for now, is objective number one for a team that has disappointed this season and has had to deal with a traumatic change of manager of the failure of Peter Bosz's project.
