English publication 'The Daily Mail' reports that the midfielder will put pen to paper on a fresh deal at the Etihad in the coming weeks.
The former Chelsea man has been the star of City's season so far and looks set to be rewarded with a new six-year deal worth £200,000 a week basic, with another £60,000 in image rights.
This news comes off the back of both Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho penning fresh terms this week, whilst talks are ongoing with striker Gabriel Jesus.
Meanwhile, City are continuing to scour the market for potential signings, with Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred understood to be on their radar.
