Goalkeeper: Pacheco (Alaves)
Despite losing at the Mestalla, if it weren't for Pacheco then Alaves could have been on the end of a thrashing. Manager, Albelardo, has someone he can trust behind his defence.
Defender: Francis (Betis)
New in the side this season, he looks as if he has already spent ten years playing at this level. The boy from Malaga was once again key to Betis' performance down the right hand side.
Defence: Bustinza (Leganes)
Leganes' vice-captain is a modern central defender. He is not that tall, but he wins everything up high. This was how he scored his goal against Sevilla, jumping to beat Sergio Rico in the air and getting his second of the season.
Defence: Albentosa (Deportivo)
The centre back returned to the first team with a goal that gave hope to a Deportivo team still fighting against relegation. He grew with his goal, getting forward to help more attacks, but he was not as fortunate again.
Midfield: Boudebouz (Betis)
Villamarin fell back in love with the Algerian thanks to his passing and vision that set up Junior's opening goal. He finished the game with a wonder goal that gave Pau Lopez no chance.
Defence: Junior (Betis)
He runs like no other. It is as if the Dominican has three lungs because he never stops in attack or defence. He dominated the left flank and opened the game up against Espanyol. He's on fire.
Midfield: Rakitic (Barcelona)
There is not much more to be said about Rakitic, one of Valverde's most prized assets. He took part in every attack against Bilbao as well as putting in a shift defensively.
Midfield: Kroos (Real Madrid)
One of the favourites at the Bernabeu. The German supported his team's effort against Girona with two assists. Real Madrid need him always.
Forward: Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Man of the week. Four goals for the Portuguese against Girona which lifted the Bernabeu and satisfied the growing hunger that Ronaldo has. He was a threat throughout the game and never gave Bono a moment to relax in goal.
Forward: Stuani (Girona)
He has scored the most headed goals in Europe, no mean feat, and these goals have helped him to 17 for the season. The former Middlesbrough player is in the form of his life, and he had them dreaming of a draw for a while.
Forward: Unal (Villareal)
He was the reason why Villareal took all three points against Atletico. The Turk came off the bench and scored twice in the last nine minutes with two real striker's efforts. Without a doubt he was Villareal's best player.
