According to the Argentinian outlet, Paulo Dybala is among Sampaoli's favoured players at this stage, while Mauro Icardi, who has been snubbed from the previous squads, is set to remain sidelined.
Of the 35 players that Sampaoli picked in his first squad, three will have to drop out for the preliminary selection which will be sent to FIFA. Of these 32, a definitive list of 23 must be decided.
