With professional sport a notoriously competitive environment, clubs have even started competing in the way they unveil their new signings. We pick out seven novel of the most novel ways clubs made announcements during the January transfer window.

1. Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal to Manchester United)

A big unveiling for a big transfer. Sanchez crowned one of the deals of the window by being annoucned on Twitter in a video showing him playing 'Glory Glory Man United on the piano' wearing a fresh United strip.

2. Wagner Love (Antalyaspor to Besiktas)

The Brazilian was announced as a Besiktas player in a bizarre rom-com style video that made it clear that love exists outside the movies.

3. Oscar Gobern (Unattached to Yeovil)

League Two side Yeovil took to popular dating app Tinder to reveal the signing of Oscar Gobern on a free transfer.

West Ham were quick to use their new man's name as the Portuguese was unveiled with a Super Mario-style video.

The 'Magpies' opted to announce their captue of the Brazilian with a video, using the theme music of former WWE 'superstar' Mr Kennedy.

6. Peter Hartley (Blackpool to Motherwell)

Inspired by United's unveiling of Sanchez, Motherwell opted for a parody video, with 'Pete6' being seen smashing a tiny piano to pieces in his new Motherwell shirt before cheekily winking to the camera.

Inspired by first dates, Betis revealed that Fabian had signed a new contract by having him explain that he isn't looking for a date as he is in love with the Sevilla-based side.
