The first of the changes has been forced upon the Frenchman. Keylor Navas' injury grants Kiko Casilla an opportunity to prove himself. The Spanish keeper will do everything to try to persuade Zidane he should be the preferred No 1.
Marco Asensio will be part of the attacking trio due to Gareth Bale's absence. The young Spaniard will try to find the back of the net after a slight goal drought in recent weeks.
German midfielder Toni Kroos could also be rested by Zidane this week. Isco, Modric and Casemiro could be the ones to lead the team from midfield for Madrid, with the aim of regaining their strength in home fixtures.
Marcelo will be given a break in the Copa del Rey, but the Brazilian is expected to start against Eibar. Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Nacho Fernandez would make up the back line, the latter stepping in for youngster Achraf.
Possible lineup: Casilla; Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Nacho; Casemiro, Modric, Isco; Asensio, Cristiano and Benzema.
