'We are very good friends and have lots of fun. Our nicknames for each other are Griezzy and Lacaz', Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette told Match of the Day magazine.
Griezmann looks set for a move away from the Spanish capital as soon as their transfer embargo is lifted and, even though he had been touted for a switch to Old Trafford, the 26-year-old striker could be the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez if the Chilean eventually leaves the Emirates.
And the Gunners may have found a secret weapon to land Griezmann ahead of rivals Manchester United. New signing Alexandrre Lacazette shares a good friendship with the former Real Sociedad man, with the pair even going on holiday together, and he hinted he would try to get Griezmann to sign.
Lacazette is enjoying his time in north London since joining from Lyon in the summer and is eager to link up with his France teammate: 'If Griezzy visits me in London, I’m going to ask him to sign for Arsenal!', he said.
