'Los Blancos' currently find themselves eight points behind leaders and arch-rivals Barcelona with 11 games played and renowned Spanish publication 'Marca' claims that there are now tensions building between two of the club's star players.
It claims that Cristiano Ronaldo's damning assessment of the club's summer transfer business has not gone down well with captain Sergio Ramos, putting the pair at loggerheads.
The Portuguese criticised the decision to move on James Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata and Pepe during the summer following Real's Champions League loss to Tottenham at Wembley last month, something which Ramos quickly moved to refute.
Ronaldo is thought to have seen his status in the dressing room diminish following the departure of the trio, along with fellow countryman Fabio Coentrao, with all four of the players thought to have been close to the Portugal star.
Ramos on the other hand, enjoys an excellent working relationship with both Real youngsters and the more experienced pros.
The aformentioned source claims that Ronaldo has viewed Ramos' recent interviews with the press as attacks on him, with the centre-back first attempting to encourage Neymar to make the move to the Bernabeu, before refusing to answer questions about Ronaldo's future at Real.
'Cristiano is leaving? Ask him, I don't know about these things,' the former Sevilla man told the press after Spain's 3-3 friendly draw with Russia.
Problems in the dressing room are the last thing that Zinedine Zidane needs as he looks to turn around Real's stuttering start to the season.
