The 28-year-old has sat out Arsenal's last two games (their 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League and their 3-1 win over Cologne in the Europa League) due to an 'inflammation of the knee.'
However, the player has now returned to training and is expected to make his return for the 'Gunners' sooner rather than later.
Ozil took to Instagram on Tuesday night to inform his follows of the good news, saying: "Good news: I'm back training on the pitch. As you might have heard I'm suffering from a minor inflammation of my knee.
"Feeling better each day now and hope to be back playing very soon!"
Arsneal's game against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night is likely to come too soon for the German international but if all goes well it it thought that he could play some part in the game against West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates on Monday September 25.
