The fee Manchester United would request in order to sell David De Gea would be the highest ever for a goalkeeper. With Real Madrid knocking at United's door season after season, hoping to sign their much sought-after keeper, they could be looking to either scare them away or make a huge profit.
It looked like a deal between both clubs had been made last season, but for some paperwork issues from the Spanish side. De Gea has had yet another great season in the Premier League and Mourinho is conscious of his worth.
Now, the Red Devils could look to take advantage of the situation, by doubling the current record fee for a goalkeeper (£33m, Guianluigi Buffon to Juventus), and asking for roughly £66m for their star keeper.
