A statement from the club read: "The Football Club is committed to protecting the matchday environment at King Power Stadium, and as a result has issued three bans varying in length from 2-12 months."
Two of the supporters banned have also been the subject of criminal proceedings with one resulting in a conditional police caution and another in a notable fan.
"We fully support the club's decision to ban these individuals," said Superintendent Steve Potter of Leicestershire Police, who was the match commander for the fixture against Brighton.
"Their behaviour was inexcusable and will not be tolerated. We will continue to work closely with the club to ensure those who are intent on disrupting the enjoyment for others are robustly dealt with."
