Barcelona B have largely disppointed this season and currenly sit in 19th place in the Spanish second division. However, there have still been a handfiul of players who have caught the eye, with one of them being Jose Arnaiz.
The winger was a surprise summer signing for Barca, joining the club for €3.5m from Real Valladolid. The attack-minded forward has attracted interest in recent weeks from the likes of Arsenal, who are reportedly considering triggering the player's release clause and bringing him into their first team set-up.
Spanish publication 'Marca' reports that the 'Gunners' have received very positive reports about Arnaiz from their Spanish-based scouts, with his goalscoring nouse and technical ability standing out.
The same source claims that Arsene Wenger's side are considering invoking the player's €20m release clause and immeditely including him in their first team squad, something that Barca currently have no intention of doing.
Arnaiz had enjoyed a fine season all things considered, scoring six and assisting four more in 19 games for Barcelona B as well as scoring twice for the full Barcelona team in their Copa del Rey thrashings of Real Murcia.
Will Arnaiz become the latest player to swap Barcelona for London?
